1.  What is holistic health coaching and how is it different than a diet or therapy?

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

A health coach is a wellness guide and supportive mentor. Through working with me, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will help you feel fit and fabulous.

2. What is your background, how did you become a holistic health coach?

I’ve been experimenting with food and nutrition for decades, and I’ve learned that good health is about more than just the food we eat. Your experience of health is profoundly influenced by all of your lifestyle choices, and your thoughts and beliefs contribute to your wellbeing, as much as eating habits and activity levels do.

My education has equipped me with deep knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and the importance of preventive care. Drawing on my education and experience, I work with clients to help them make the dietary and lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

3. Who will benefit best from one of your programs and what is expected of the client?

I help both men & women over forty feel fit and fabulous. To benefit best from my coaching support you will need to be ready to take responsibility for your health, and take actions to move in the direction of your goals. For us to work together effectively, you need to be honest with yourself about your current level of health, and be willing to explore how your current lifestyle choices have been affecting you.

4. Who is not likely to benefit from your programs?

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, then we’re probably not a good match for working together in my coaching programs:

  • Are you are looking for a quick fix, or a magic pill to make your problems go away?

Unfortunately, quick fixes never really solve your problems, and if you get any relief at all, it doesn’t last long. Instead, I will guide you to develop a deeper understanding of the foods and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes to improve your health.

  • Do you depend on doctors to take care of you, and believe that the best way to be healthy is by seeing a doctor frequently, getting lots of tests, and taking prescribed medications?

While doctors, tests, and medications have their place, their focus is on treating symptoms. With health coaching, we look at how all of your lifestyle choices are influencing your health, and we work together to discover the causes for your health problems and then find ways to address the causes, not just the symptoms.

  • Are you afraid of looking too closely at your life, or exploring your thoughts about your life and health?

Because my programs are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, personal preferences, and background, you need to be willing to explore your assumptions and beliefs, and learn to trust your intuition and become aware of your body’s needs.

  • Do you just want someone to tell you what to do and when to do it?

My style of health coaching is all about you and your unique needs, and there is no one-size-fits-all diet or lifestyle. By taking responsibility for your choices, you also enjoy having control of your health in a way that works best for you.  The more you put into our time together, the more you will get out of it.

5.  How can I guarantee to get the most of the program and reach my goals?

Successful coaching clients take responsibility for their choices, are open to new ways of thinking about themselves and their lives, and agree to explore what works best for them by experimenting with new foods and lifestyle practices.

By first identifying your individuality and your goals for your health and life, we will have a focus for choosing the best gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals, in a way that is fun and enjoyable.

Part of feeling Fit and Fabulous is enjoying the process, enjoying your life, and not taking everything so seriously. You’ll start to feel better simply by looking for the positive aspects of your life and experiences. A happy attitude goes a long way toward helping you feel great, no matter what is going on in your life.

I’d love to help you find what works best for you, taking all your lifestyle choices into account. Let’s talk, and get you on your way to feeling Fit and Fabulous. How does that sound?
